Injuries
How Jeff ruined my summer vacation
Jeff plays company softball every year and this year during practice he thought it would be a good idea to break his leg. He had a screw put in his leg, was all casted up, hobbled every where and most importantly ruined my summer vacation. We were unable to go on our big golf vacation. Oh well!! It's now the end of November and Jeff finally got the screw out. I'll see if he has the pictures of his x-ray that shows the screw in his leg and I'll get a picture of the screw. Stay tuned.
Trevor got a nice bruise while playing hockey at the end of February. These pictures were taken a few days after the injury. Unfortunately I was unable to get the x-rays of his misshapen spine.

The picture on the left was taken the day after Brad got a hockey puck in the eye. The picture on the right was the day after he had surgery to fix his eye.
The Shadow
It's with great sorrow that I announce that the Shadow is no longer running. It was an upsetting few weeks that started with a routine oil change and ended up with a wrecked engine (don't ask). We have had some great memories. But for now it is parked in my backyard with a full tank of gas, new windshield wipers, new sparkplugs, new belts, new oil pump, fairly new tires, fuel injector cleaner in the system (with extra in the trunk), and a car wash ticket, because it was supposed to get a wash before it broke down. So if anyone would like to donate to the "Jolyn really needs a car fund" please contact me.

This is the Shadow during one of its better moments. Brad and I had taken it to Banff to go skiing and while we were at Sunshine it snowed all day long. We were stuck at the hill until around 7 p.m. due to avalanches and once the roads were open we were only allowed to drive 30 kms/hr and cars could only leave parking lot every 30 seconds. The car ended up getting stuck (we didn't have snow tire at this point) so in exchange for helping push us out, we drove a guy home to Canmore.
The Dodge 600
For those of you who haven't heard, the 600 is officially SOLD. As of Tuesday, March 8th, it will no longer be occupying the driveway. It will be missed, but not that much.
