July Long '05

Well this July Long had many changes, but was still a rockin' party. We didn't have a hot tub this year which kinda sucked, because the evenings were a bit cool, but we dealt with it. The raft is starting to fall apart so we were unable to play slanty shanty. We didn't have a fire works display either due the absence of Duane. On the positive side of things, we went through a lot of booze, we had crazy fires, there was a lumberjack event one night, lots of booze was drank, things got broken, there was a peep show (sorry Tammy, there's no pictures of this on the site), oh did I mention that we drank a lot. Well I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the stories.

 

Brad was BBQing and Mandy was drinking. (Don't worry Brad was drinking too!!)

 

This was Josh's first time out at Pelican Pointe so what better way to celebrate than have a drink with Big B.

Well to no one's surprise, Mandy was a drunken mess falling all over the place. Both of her legs ended up bleeding all over the place. Did I mention that she had to go to a wedding the next day? Well I guess a skirt is out of the question!!

 

The Lumberjack Competition

Josh decided that it would be a good idea to try to break this tree down.

 

Once Josh got the first branch down, he figured he should try the next one.

 

Josh was successful in getting this tree down with his bare hands.

 

Chris figured that it is his cottage so he wants a try at breaking this tree down.

 

I'm not sure how much more of the tree Chris and Brad were able to get down. Wow is that tree mangled!!

 

At this point Brad was sticking his hand in the fire telling me "He's fine".

 

Did I mention that Mandy was really drunk this weekend and she kept falling over?

 

I think this is Jeff's foot, but I'm not too sure. All I know is that it is some sort of injury and therefore needed to be on this site.

When we're at the lake it does become the daytime once and a while. Steve is getting ready for a ride.

 

For those of you who have never seen our raft, this is it. Like I mentioned before we were unable to play slanty shanty. Instead Josh used as the Pelican Pointe offsale and sold beer to people who were out fishing.

 

The nice day obviously had to turn cloudy. The clouds were pretty funky looking.

The perfect picture of Tammy, Mandy, and I

This series of pictures was taken in order to get the perfect picture. We all tried holding the camera, but this was more difficult than in looks. Once again, did I mention we were drinking a lot!!!

Take 1: Not bad, except for the look on my face and the fact that my arm is blocking Mandy out.

 

Take 2: I think Mandy was holding the camera this time, which explains the look on her face.

 

Take 3: I don't even know what's going on, who's taking the picture, or why my tongue is hanging out.

 

Take 4: These pictures are not getting any better

 

Take 5: At least Mandy is still trying to get a good picture.

Take 7: We're getting closer, but I think there's too much nostril.

Well it wouldn't be a party without something getting broken. This is Prizeman's chair. It lasted a total of two days out at the lake. And because Duane wasn't out there, it did NOT end up in the fire.
